Google+ is a social networking and identity service that allows you to connect with friends and family, and explore your interests. However, it is worth noting that only owners of an account are capable of deleting their account or removing it, not Google. There are a number of reasons why you may want to delete your profile, just as the case with other social media networks or websites. Remember if you do decide to delete your Google+ that it is permanent and if you decide you want it back, you can't and will have to create a brand new profile.

Privacy is a major concern that moved users from Facebook to Google+. However, the major reasons why most people delete their Google+ profiles is; they want to use other services such as Google search without another social media network tied to it or any interferences that may occur with their search experience using Google.

How To Delete Your Google Plus Account:

The initial step is signing into your existing account but you can as well log in from the Google home login page and then proceed to the Google+ account. Once landing on the page, follow the instructions below:

1.) Settings from the drop-down menu in the upper left corner. 2.) Scroll down to to “Disable Google+”, click Here.
3.) Scroll to the bottom of the page.
4.) Check the box next to “Required” and click remove selected services.

The removal link provides you with two features. The first feature presents an answer that you are looking for: how to delete Google+. The second option, however, will get rid of all Google services that you might be using at that time. Taking the first option; therefore, gives you an opportunity to remove all the Google+ account details, but it leaves you with an opportunity of enjoying other Google services that you might have been using before.

Also, be aware that removing a Google+ account is not a temporary act. You are not able to restore the account later on, and this means that all the circles, friends, and related data will be lost permanently. As such it is recommended that you delete your account when there is certainty that you will not need it any more.

Note, if you do delete your Google account entirely you can still enjoy Google services such as Google search, where you don't need to log in to use that. Any other Google services such as Gmail or Google Wallet can be deleted from your settings once you are logged in. To remove them is a fairly simple process, but again beware because once you do so, you lose all contacts and previous emails and so forth.

Do you enjoy Google+? We are really just getting warmed up to it and haven't enjoyed it as much as we'd like to.
