Eyebrows are one of the most important features on your face. This is because they draw attention to your eyes and add dimension to your face. It can be depressing if you have sparse or too light of eyebrows. Fortunately, you can rectify the situation by filling in your eyebrows. If you are wondering how to fill in eyebrows, here is how we recommend doing it.

1.) Ensure that you have the right instruments with you. This includes: a good mirror, brow pencil, brow brush, brow powder and light hold hairspray.

2.) Sit in front of a mirror and ensure that the area is well lit and you can see yourself clearly on the mirror. Also, ensure that you are sitting on a comfortable chair.

3.) Using your fingers, smooth your eyebrows. You can have different filler options if you choose by using a brow pencil, brow powder, or a brow cream. All of these work in the same fashion, except that the brow cream and brow pencil are applied using a brush. Filler powders usually give a natural look while filler pencils will give you a more defined look. To ensure that you fill in eyebrows effectively, aim at matching the color of your filler to the color of your natural hair. If your hair is very fair, aim at using darker filler.

4.) If you have sparse areas in your eyebrow, fill them using a brow pencil. While filling, ensure that you use short and small strokes. Also, ensure that you stroke in the direction of the growth of the eyebrows hair. To effectively fill in eyebrows, you should not create a definitive line. Rather, put small lines that are similar to the actual appearance of the eyebrow hair. After you are done with one eyebrow, move to the next.

5.) Dip the tips of the brow brush into your brow powder and brush the eyebrow hair. Again, remember to brush the eyebrows in the direction of hair growth. To fill in eyebrows effectively, start brushing the eyebrows from the innermost tip and work toward the outmost tip. After you have finished with one brow, move to the next one. After you are done, the eyebrows should be looking a little bit darker than your natural hair.

6.) To remove the dark appeal of most eyebrows, use a spoolie brush or a clear brow gel. This tool will brush through the eyebrows and pick up excess color and distribute it evenly in the eyebrows.

7.) To ensure that the eyebrows stay in shape and retain their color throughout the day, spray the eyebrows with light hold hairspray. While spraying, ensure that you don’t spray directly on the eyebrows. This is because you will hurt your eyes. Instead, first spray on your index finger, then use the finger to coat your eyebrows with the light hairspray. Note: This tip is optional.

These are the steps that you should follow to fill in your eyebrows. If your eyebrows are too light for your natural hair color and face, you should consider getting them tinted prior to filling them in. This will not only aid in making filler application easier, but it will also give you a more natural look.
